AMSTERDAM RESTAURANTS:
Tip: On Mondays, many really good restaurants are unfortunately closed.
DINNER:
- Wardorf Astoria Amsterdam - ‘By far the best restaurant (2 Michelin Star) in Amsterdam, and truly a multi sensual delight to spend a culinary and romantic delightful evening .’ We recommend that you book.
- De Kas is another great experience. It is in a greenhouse and they use their own ingredients.
- TAIKO Restaurant in the lovely Conservatorium Hotel, also delightful; Superb Fusion Dining. Also nice bar for a drink afterward. You will also love this beautiful building, the former Music Conservatorium of Amsterdam, which moved recently to the Harbor area.
- The Harbour Kitchen - (not in the harbor by the way, in very nice residential area) Excellent steaks among others, actually wide choice of fish as well
- MOMO - also fun, fast moving, trendy, lovely diverse food, next to Leidseplein and Vondelpark
- The Duchess, in former beautiful bank building,
- The C Restaurant, more funky, playing with temperatures etc, no english site, opened recently .. ALSO GOOD FOR LUNCH.
LUNCH
- The Rijks - very nice place to have lunch after early start at the famous Rijks Museum, best way is to plan your visit there early morning, if you call the museum, they can arrange private guide. The RIJKS Restaurant is in the actual same building, just on the outside towards the Concertgebouw and the other two famous restaurants, The Van Gogh and The Modern Museum of Art ( right next to the Conservatorium Hotel again with TASIKO 🙂 I would not do three Musea, too much, I would not do the Modern ones.. Reservations for lunch at
- Café George - cute, more simple and faster, trendy, busy place on several location in Amsterdam:
- Bord’eau - elegant traditional in very nice Hotel L’Europe on the most inner part of the river Amstel, where Amsterdam ( The Dam on the river Amstel) was started
3. Activities Recommendations
- Depending on your wishes: of course The Rijks Museum = Must
- Canal-ride
- Nice shopping in the PC hoofdstraat, right next Rijks Museum restaurant Rijks, so possibly after lunch it's fun to take a stroll
- Tons of great things to do and see in sparkling Amsterdam
