- The town of Cong “is only a few minute walk away(from Ashford Castle) and is Great! The area can be a little touristy, but I would still go back!!!”
- Whiskey Distilleries in Dublin: Jameson Distillery in Bow Street, Teeling Whiskey Distillery in the liberties
In Killarney:
- Killarney Jaunting Cars – “Killarney park, hire the jaunting car at the entrance off the road, enter the park on the cart. Leave time to walk the gardens. Did not take the boat ride or house tour. Just outside of car park there is a hike to waterfall - worth it.”
