2. Accommodation Recommendations
In Ubud:
- Amandari - "Old but is still well maintained. Request a duplex villa. Great location."
- Capella
- COMO Shambala Estate (NEAR Ubud)
- Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan
- Hoshinoya (near Ubud)
- The Ritz Carlton - "Absolutely amazing property. There are actually 2 Ritz Carlton's ... one on the beach and one in Ubud in the mountains. Both properties are incredible."
- Mandapa Reserve - A Ritz-Carlton Reserve
- Viceroy Bali - "it was magical!"
In Bali:
- Alila Seminyak (next to W) is better. Better food, rooms and service. Also have 3 pools
- Canggu - it’s 5 star as opposed to 6 star, but the beach club is very nice and you’re much closer to all the action for fun restaraurants. The tween kids will love La Brisa beach club (right next to como) and can send you a list of canggu restaurants and spas etc.
- Kempinski
- Mulia is big but much nicer feel. Good resto options too.
- Ritz Carlton is very nice but food is just decent.
- St. Regis is fantastic and my favorite
- Seminyak - no private beach but very lively and close to a lot of restaurants
- Nusa Dua - private beach but not close to much liveliness. You’re kind of limited just to your hotel. Traveling to Seminyak can take a good 45 mins if not more
- W is great
- the Jumeirah
- the intercontinental - is much closer to civilization
